Coimbatore is a fast growing city with over 5 million people and is the second largest city in Tamilnadu. When it comes to ranking, it is quite on the higher side with a rank 4 among Indian cities when it comes to investment climate and rank 17 when it comes to global outsourcing. That is a sure sign that this small city is growing and the world is taking notice. In 2015 a news report released the times of India on a report submitted by international realty consultant Jones Lang LaSalle says that Coimbatore along with three other cities would be an emerging hotspot and driver of Tamil Nadu economy. According to reports each of the four tier II cities have the infrastructure to absorb big investments. Not to mention the strategic location of the city between Kerala and Karnataka and its rail, bus and flight connectivity to other cities have made Coimbatore a preferred destinations for most companies and families looking to settle down.
